I’m together with my fiancé that I really care for. I made a promise to stay with her because I thought it would work. Unfortunately, now I know it won’t. She’s lazy, doesn’t drive, doesn’t work, not independent, and has anxiety problems. Worse, my entire family doesn’t want me to continue the relationship, so I know it’s best to end it. She’s going to take the breakup extremely hard. She has fallen deeply I love for me and thinks I’m the only one for her. A long time ago, I told her the relationship might not work and she tried to kill herself. How should I break up with her so she’s least hurt?

So, I have a boyfriend and I’ve been thinking and now I know for sure that I wanna break up with him. It’s just not working, he lives to far away [1,5 hours away] but the thing is, I don’t know HOW I’m going to dump him. I would like to do it in person, but it’s sad to make drive in total 3 hours. I can’t do that to him! I do not want to do it over phone, or mail.. I just don’t know what do do anymore! Please help!!! You didn’t do anything wrong. Everything is smooth and it totally shocked you. Would you be suspicious that it’s because of another man even though she says she just want a “break” or “sometime by herself”. But it does mean she doesn’t love you right? People in love just don’t take unnecessary “breaks” for kicks. Usually this mean the relationship is going downhill? And even if she takes you back later you are probably not going to be too happy with her ever right?
